~ Who Are We? ~

SLCPA (Sylvan Lake Community Partners’ Association)
is a registered non-profit charity in the Town of Sylvan Lake. 

It began with a few Family Education Programs in 1998
and has since grown to a multi program agency. 

SLCPA was incorporated in 1999 and received Charitable Status in 2004. 

In 2009 the agency moved to a new facility in downtown Sylvan Lake. 

The organization is run by a volunteer board of directors
with 3 staff employed, an Administrative Coordinator,

an Activity Coordinator and a Family Education Early Intervention Support Worker.

The staff, board members and many of the people we serve provide
volunteer work for our projects and community activities. 

Members of the board of directors and staff also serve on various other community boards,
charities, churches and other community service organizations.

SLCPA has fostered, built and maintained strong bonds
and relationships with community based organizations,

as well as the Town of Sylvan Lake to deliver a multiplicity
of programs and services to the residents.

Our funding has come through various grants and agencies such as
Wild Rose, Alberta Community Spirit, Alberta Casino Funds,

Service Canada, AADAC, Red Deer and District Community Foundation,
Private Foundations and the Town of Sylvan Lake,

CFSA, local businesses, Churches, private citizens, as well as event fundraising and donations.

Support is now provided to approximately 3500 children and families per year and

SLCPA continues to work an increased capacity to meet the growing community needs.
